The Coalition would like to express sincere gratitude for donations great and small by so many who love our world-renowned Golden Gate Park.

Donations are no longer being accepted.

Thank you.

  1. The park service is broken. It has turned the GGP into a suburban landscaping project. Paving whatever they can. Putting up signs everywhere. Installing banner advertisements. Allowing far too many commercial vendors. And, of course, renting it out to any major event knocks on its door. So. Very. Sad. John McClaren is rolling over…

  2. We are being asked to sell our San Francisco landmarks to the highest bidder. And how many people are being fooled by deceptive language to our heartstrings, especially using our youth as a foil.

  3. I wish I could have voted. I am 75 and spent all of my childhood and most of my adult life in SF and was in the park daily, sometimes twice a day. It was my “boreal forest” and I rode my bike to the beach and back home after school and spent much time in the park as a grownup as well. I have lived in Oakland since 1978, but pay close attention to this land grab. Keep fighting. What you do will affect all of us, no matter where we live.
